Top 10 Alternative Ways to Generate Income
June 24, 2007 4:17 pm Business & FinancialWant to find ways to make money without getting a job? Here are ten different ways to earn it…
10. Welfare or Beg for it
Perhaps the easiest way is to ask for handouts, Government contracted or private. While you may not feel like you’ve earned it, asking your parents for cash, or standing on the side of the road holding a “Please Donate” sign has turned up useful for beggars and other financially struggling people in the past, although you may prefer getting a job to that alternative.
9. Marry or inherit it
If you are still to lazy to work for it, then I would recommend drugging up a rich person and performing a quick civil ceremony and voila, quick cash. If you aren’t that evil, then work to attend elite social events, and scour for potential mates. Lucky people may already have been born into rich families where they may also just receive it from relatives that have recently passed away.
8. Hold a rummage sale
Many households across the nation are filled with junk just waiting to be bought by scavengers and collectors alike. It may not generate much cash, it kills two birds with one stone, as you are clearing your house of scrap and making some money at the same time.
7. Participate in online auctions
As the saying goes, one man’s junk is another’s’ treasure. Online auction sites provide millions of items for sale. Sometimes the seller may be unaware of an item’s true worth and the winner may resell the item at a higher price, thus profit is earned. There are people that make a living off of these types of business tactics.
6. Participate in Online Surveys
This form may not offer much in the way of cash, at most $10-20. Although be wary when participating, as many sites that offer surveys are scams. Any survey company that requires YOU to pay THEM are 99.99% certain to be scams. I would make sure that the online company you want to work with would at least have a positive trackrecord, a method of contact, and most importantly, are free to join and don’t require you to enter contracts or agreements, etc.
5. Write
Many forms of writing can earn you cash. Some specific examples include writing a book and getting it published, writing a song and/or performing for various groups and getting positive feedback. It is also possible to make income from writing articles and submitting them to various magazines, web sites, etc.
4. Earn copyright royalties
While similar to number 5 as where you can get paid for what you write, this for also includes other forms of copyrights. For example you could create a snazzy logo, or sing a catchy tune, and sell your services to corporations where your role would work as a freelancer.
3. Invest in stocks
This form of making money also probably has the most prerequisites. You must have an understanding of not only how the stock market operates, but also all the outside factors that may affect your particular company, such as inflation rates, seasonal shifts, executive management, etc. Other terminology that you should have knowledge in would include stock splits, dividends, market rates, along with much more.
2. Create a website
A good source of residual income is owning and operating your own website. Click Here to learn more about building a web site and what you should know before you dive too deep into it.
1. Provide value
Although broad, providing value is the best way to generate income and it benefits everyone around you. If you make your goal to help people and feed them with a service, or information that they want, money making opportunities are there, they have the demand, and all which is needed is for you to provide the supply.
